			Greetings to the
congregation of Lord of Life Lutheran Church and to our visitors!

After prayer and meeting with the Chairperson Rager and others, we
have planned for a safe return to Worship, on Sunday June 14, 2020 @
10 am. Please take a look at your emails, so that on Sunday you will
be able to follow the guidelines to return to Worship safe. The
CORV19 pandemic is not over, we have disinfected the entire upstairs
everything is done. We will only have access to Worship in the
Sanctuary and leave the premises, there will be no Social Gathering
at all, remain six feet apart entering and exiting the door, no
			contact of any kind. Please.

			Prayer:

Living God, our refuge and strength, even the wind and sea obey your
voice. Put the wind back in its place, and say to the sea: Peace! Be
still! Fill us with great faith and save us from the surging water
so that we may tell the good news of Your saving love, through Jesus
			Christ, Amen.

			March 21, 2020

			Greetings
to the congregation of Lord of Life Lutheran
			Church and to our visitors!

I would first like to say, “I already miss you
			all very much!”

I am in prayer daily asking the Father to grant
me patience while He works this situation out, per His will, and as
He answers our prayers to the question of “How does our family of
followers of Christ fit into His master plan during the COVID-19
			outbreak?”

Prayer changes all things, hear me clearly,
even if we don’t like His answers. I will start here: there is
something happening here that will become “our good and His glory”
and I finish with “Our thoughts are not his thoughts” (Isaiah 55:8).

Let us end this first note with prayer.

			Prayer:
Living God, our refuge and strength, even the
wind and sea obey your voice. Put the wind back in its place, and
say to the sea: Peace! Be still! Fill us with great faith and save
us from the surging water so that we may tell the good news of Your
saving love, through Jesus Christ, our hope in this storm.

			 Jeremiah 29:11
			Greetings to you all!
Grace, mercy, and peace to you from God our Father and our Savior
			Jesus Christ.
I am so proud of the way we strapped up our shoelaces and moved
forward through the year of our Lord in 2020. I thank each of you,
individually and corporately, for your support of God’s ministry
here at 3250 Mt. Zion Road Stockbridge, GA, 30281, on this
Circumcision Eve and Eve of the Naming of Jesus.
We are the Church, and we will stand on His promise to never leave
us nor forsake us, even in a pandemic.
My prayer in 2020 and 2021 and beyond:
“Lord, what is Your will for 3250 Mt. Zion Road and how do we show
			up and be present?” Amen.
			Keep safe please!
I close with a message from the Gospel of St. Luke, chapter 2, verse
			21.
			Happy New Year.
			Grace, Reverend Carl
			Russell Morten

			GOOD FRIDAY

We are glad you have joined us.

			Eyes on Jesus: "God’s Eyes"

			As We Gather
			Good Friday
is the most solemn day of
the Christian year. It is the day our Savior died for us. It is the
day we were redeemed from our sins by the voluntary death of God
Himself at the hands of man. We are standing at the foot of the
cross, but there are others standing with us. Simon of Cyrene, the
people who mock Jesus, and the centurion all have their eyes on the
cross as well. But the only viewpoint that truly matters is that of
the triune God. The Father sees our sins taken upon Jesus on the
cross, the Son looks on us in forgiving mercy, and the Holy Spirit
sees the message we are to proclaim.

“Oh, come, let us fix our
			eyes on Jesus” (Hebrews 12:2).

			“More Than
			Meets the Eye”

			As We Gather
This Lent, we used the metaphor of eyesight to follow how different
individuals in Mark’s Gospel viewed Jesus during His Passion. As we
gathered, many misunderstood who He was and what He was doing; but,
sometimes, by faith people, did recognize Him correctly. As we
conclude the 40 days of Lent, we ask: How are we like or unlike the
people who saw Jesus in the flesh? What should we have seen? What
has Jesus done to save us from our sins by blood, suffering, and
death? It is difficult for us to look through the eyes of the
disciples when they were celebrating Passover, but it was within
that context that Jesus pronounced the bread and wine to be His body
and blood. Today, it is in the liturgy of the Lord’s Supper that our
Lord’s words call us to recognize more than meets our physical eyes.

			Eyes on Jesus: Worldly Eyes
			As We Gather
This final mid-week of Lent, we will continue to
use the Mark's metaphor of eyesight to examine how the various
people viewed Jesus during His Passion. Again, I repeat, they
misunderstood him and who He was and what He was doing, but,
sometimes by faith people did recognize Him correctly.

			Order of Worship

			Introit:  Psalm
			2
Why do the nations rage and the peoples plot in
vain? 2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take
counsel together, against the Lord and against his Anointed, saying,
3 “Let us burst their bonds apart and cast away their cords from
us.” 4 He who sits in the heavens laughs; 5 Then he will speak to
them in his wrath, and terrify them in his fury, saying, 6 “As for
me, I have set my King on Zion, my holy hill.” I will tell of the
decree: The Lord said to me, “You are my Son; today I have begotten
you. 8 Ask of me, and I will make the nations your heritage, and the
ends of the earth your possession. 9 You shall break them with a rod
of iron and dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.” 10 Now
therefore, be warned, O rulers of the earth. 11 Serve the Lord with
fear, and rejoice with trembling. 12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry,
and you perish in the way, for his wrath is quickly kindled.

			Psalm 130

Out of the depths I cry to you, O Lord! 2 O Lord, hear my voice! Let
your ears be attentive to the voice of my pleas for mercy! 3 If you,
O Lord, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand? 4 But with
you there is forgiveness, that you may be feared. 5 I wait for the
Lord, my soul waits, and in his word I hope; 6 my soul waits for the
Lord more than watchmen for the morning, more than watchmen for the
morning. 7 O Israel, hope in the Lord for with the Lord there is

We are glad you have joined us.

			Eyes on Jesus: Murderous
			Eyes

			As We Gather
This mid-week for Lent, we will continue to use the
metaphor of eyesight to examine how the various people in Mark’s
Gospel viewed Jesus during His Passion. In most cases, they
misunderstood him and who He was and what He was doing; then,
sometimes by faith, people did recognize Him correctly.

We have these forty days, including today, as we
take a look at the chief
priests and scribes, who saw Jesus as an obstacle to be rid of
by violence. Yet, during the Passover festival, they would
unwittingly bring about the sacrifice of the ultimate Passover Lamb.
How, then, should we view those who oppose the Gospel today? And how
might these insights guide our prayers?

			Introit:

			                                       Psalm 122, 145, 17, 25
I lift up my eyes to the hills from where does my
help come? My help comes from the LORD,

who made heaven and earth. The eyes of all look to
			You, and You give them
their food in due season. You open Your hand; You satisfy the desire
of every living thing. Keep me as the apple of Your eye; hide me in
the shadow of Your wings. My eyes are ever toward the LORD,
for He will pluck my feet out of the net. For I know that my
			Redeemer lives, and at the
last He will stand upon the earth.
And after my skin has been thus destroyed,
yet in my flesh I shall see God,
whom I shall see for myself,
and my eyes shall behold, and not another.
My heart faints within me! [Job19:25].
